Welcome to "Empowering Education," a transformative two-day workshop designed to equip educators with innovative teaching strategies aimed at empowering students through engaging activities. Hosted by ESU9 in Hastings, Nebraska, Scott Phillips will utilize this interactive workshop to help build your classroom structure for the upcoming school year. This workshop offers a dynamic learning environment where participants can enhance their teaching skills while potentially earning college credits.

Day 1: Building Foundations

Session 1: The Power of Engagement
Explore the concept of student engagement and its impact on learning outcomes. Discover research-backed strategies to captivate students' interest and foster active participation.

Session 2: Designing Dynamic Lessons
Learn to develop lesson plans that incorporate diverse and interactive activities. Experiment with various teaching methodologies to cater to different learning styles and preferences.

$125 stipend per day is available for teachers from Title II-A Consortium Member Schools: Adams Central, Blue Hill, Doniphan-Trumbull, Giltner, Hampton, Kenesaw, Red Cloud, Silver Lake, and Sutton.

*Stipend not available if taking this for college credit

Optional: 1 Credit Hour ($250) through Hastings College
If you are taking this for credit, you must attend both days and complete additional assignments.
