Teachers and instructional leaders at all levels and in a wide variety of content areas will find this workshop beneficial, with valuable guidance in preventing and managing resistant behaviors. Topics include: foundations of teaching positive behavior, prevention of resistant behavior, and application of effective behavior interventions and plans. We will also focus on the needs of children who struggle to sustain attention, and strategies to effectively help children become responsible problem solvers using the rules of Love and Logic.
ESU 9's Supporting School Mental Health week (June 1-5) is being offered for 3 credit hours through Hastings College. Cost is $210 per credit hour. In order to receive credit, you must attend the following 5 days:
June 1 - Trauma 101
June 2 - Youth Mental Health First Aid
June 3 - MTSS for Social/Emotional & Behavior Tiers 1-3
June 4-5 - "You Can't Make Me" - Strategies for Managing Resistant Behaviors |
