| Description | | Hastings Library staff will give a tour of the library’s maker space and demo the Heat Press and Laser Cutter.
The Heat Press demonstration will go through the process of designing a bookmark via Canva and then pressing it on the heat press. They will also discuss other options for what can be done with the heat press such as clothing, mugs, and magnets.
The Laser Cutter demonstration will show participants how to take a written or drawn image (recipe or signature) and show how those images can be scanned in and laser-engraved onto a material.
We will also have time to discuss recent library initiatives, copyright, book bans and more!
