Jeff Johnson, after quitting his 16+ year job with a large non-profit agency , directed a child care program and community center and his wife was the assistance director of the child care center and quit her job as well. Together they started a family child care program “Explorations Early Learning” for 10+ years that focused on child-led play and learning. During that time, Jeff wrote some books and spent time traveling as an early learning speaker. In 2013 they closed their program to focus full time on providing early learning trainings as well as creating and curating digital content promoting play, child-led learning and caregiver self-care.
