| Comments | | Making the Connection to the
Way We Speak and the Way Children Learn.
Explore ways “adult talk” is related to how children
learn. This workshop will help adults
make the connection between the way adults speak and the way children behave. Learn ways to use language with children more
effectively to make your days less frustrating.
Topics to be covered:
* Function of adult language
* Talking to young children
* Giving good directions
* Using good questions
* More effective language during small group & play time
* More effective language during stories & conversations
This zoom session is designed to help adults focus
on how they can use their language to affect how a child learns, behaves, and
understands the world. Participants will
have the opportunity to reflect, discuss, practice and expand their own
language to make it more effective when working with young children.
Participants
will receive a free copy of Use Your Words: How Teacher Talk Helps Children Learn.
Registration fee: $25.00
