Inch Boy, Yao Ming, Green Jawbreakers, and Other Fun Probability and Statistics Activities
Target Audience: Grades 5-9 Math Teachers
Facilitator: Lenny VerMaas, ESU 6
The revised Nebraska Mathematics Standards move many of the probability standards to the 7th grade. In 8th grade students will interrupt and apply concepts of probability. The purpose of this training is to increase the participant's’ comfort level with helping students learn and understand probability and statistics concepts. Teachers will learn strategies and participate in activities to develop understanding, flexibility and adaptability in their students’ probability and statistics skills and improve NeSA-M scores. |
