Early Childhood Trauma: Trauma in early childhood can impact child development and future social-emotional health. Early screening and detection paired with targeted services for trauma can help young children get back on track developmentally and repair attachment relationships that are need for life long emotional health. This presentation will include the impact of trauma on attachment and development. It will introduce a screening for young children exposed to trauma. Finally it will discuss evidence based treatments for young children to help them heal.
