Revised College &
Career Ready Mathematics Standards (Nebraska Grown, Nebraska Owned)
Officially adopted by
the Nebraska State Board of Education on September 4, 2015
ESU #9 mathematics educators have the opportunity to hear
about the revision process, look closer at the teacher-friendly document to
compare the similarities and differences to the 2009 version, and learn of the
implementation timeline for NeSA. We
encourage sending teams of at least 2-3 teachers in each of the following grade
bands (K-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-12) for a total of 8 to 12 teachers from your
district.
In addition, an exciting new possible summer professional
development opportunity will be described, which involves discovering
mathematics used in local businesses. |
