DESCRIPTION:About the Training\nScience of Reading Lite provides a founda
 tional understanding of the Science of Reading and the role every educato
 r plays in developing successful readers.\nParticipants will:\n* Explore 
 how children learn to read\n* Understand the connection between language 
 and literacy\n* Learn practical\, evidence-based instructional strategies
 \n* Apply literacy practices within their own instructional setting\n* De
 velop an action plan for implementation\n\nEvery educator is a literacy t
 eacher—not because everyone teaches reading\, but because every educator 
 builds the language\, knowledge\, and vocabulary students need to become 
 successful readers.\n\nWho Should Attend?\n* Educators and leaders intere
 sted in building a foundational understanding of the Science of Reading\n
 * Meets the requirements for educators serving PreK–Grade 3 students whos
 e primary role is not providing direct foundational reading instruction\n
 * Appropriate for educators across all content areas and instructional se
 ttings\n\nDates\nYou are required to attend both days of training to be c
 onsidered adequately trained by state statute.\nCohort A Dates\n* Tuesday
 \, September 15\, 2026\n* Tuesday\, January 12\, 2027\nCohort B Dates\n* 
 Tuesday\, October 6\, 2026\n* Wednesday\, February 17\, 2027\n\nThe CLSD 
 grant will not be providing sub reimbursements\, per the feedback we rece
 ived regarding fund prioritization. This training is not eligible for sti
 pends.
